summer style dreaming

summer is king in the oc and i am so excited to pick out my outfits so i can hit up the beach or (window) shop around Laguna Beach...

that said, i have to make sure i stay on "budget" (since i spend all my money on my wardrobe and food). however, a girl can always default to her dream wardrobe - that special imaginary place that holds all the pretty things of her clothing-fantasies...

here are some new additions to my dream wardrobe:

~
nice shopper for beach-side adventuring

~
i am such a sucker for wood wedges and the pop of color puts me over the edge...

~
some excellent sunglasses

Kate Spade Domins Cat Eye Sunglasses - $86.31 (rose gold style) on Amazon.com

~
just gorgeous...

~
i need this bathing suit top! this could easily be paired with a white bottom

~
so, so sweet...

~
great pops of color

~
loving the mix of textures on these bad boys:

~
this just screams "pass me that margarita!"

~
the hardness of this piece would be perfectly paired with a feminine dress

~
some fun evening heels - love the band across the center of the foot!

share with me what's hot on your list for summer fashion in the comments below.. there's always room for more stuff on my wish list so give me your ideas!

Free How to Repurpose Wood Pallets into Garden Planters Workshop on April 21 at the Garden Grove ReStore
Workshop is part of Earth Day weekend celebration

Santa Ana, Calif., April 11, 2013 In celebration of the greenest weekend of the year, the Habitat ReStore OC Home Improvement Resale Outlet, 12827 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, is hosting a free workshop on How to Repurpose Wood Pallets into Garden Planters on Sunday April 21, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Don’t miss this interactive workshop where you will learn how to safely and environmentally craft garden planters using wood pallets found in the ReStores. The workshop is free and open to the public.

The workshop instructors will be Natalie & Jeremy of The Sunshine Grove in Anaheim. They love vintage, reclaimed wood, and they also enjoy farming in their raised bed gardens. By using reclaimed wood, Jeremy’s designs limit the impact on the environment. It’s all about taking a piece of used wood with the character it has accumulated, sanding it, shaping it and treating it to give new purpose, and enjoying it in new ways. The only limit is the imagination.

sometimes i get a little lost on amazon.com and it can get slightly dangerous since i happen to be broke... there's already enough temptation in the OC but somehow i can find even more online!

so i like to bookmark things i want, as if i already have a bit of a collection going. i had the thought that maybe some people might want to also get in on the splurge (or bookmarking splurge, whatever your wallet allows for).

hey, if you are shopping for a gift for a gal pal, girl friend, etc. (hrm hrm, ME?!) below are some flashy items on my bangles bookmark wishlist.
