i sometimes find that a drink is the best way to celebrate... anything really

try out refinery29's recommendation for a happy fourth, "el guapo":
(shouldn't be more than $10 if you already have your favorite tequila waiting for you at home)

muddle 1.5 ounces of limejuice and cucumbers in the bottom of your shaker. fill half-way up with ice, add 3 ounces of tequila, and shake. pour into a tumbler with some of the ice and 1 thinly sliced persian cucumber. finish with hot sauce (just a dash for those of you who want it mild, or ½ a teaspoon for something stronger), and salt n pepa to taste. stir to combine and garnish with red chili peppers.

happy 235th independence day, america!
